School Mobility Program – Italian Students Participate in Cultural Activities for Clean Monday
As part of the School Mobility program, students and teachers from Italy visited the Greek school and had the unique opportunity to participate in Greek cultural activities, including the celebrations for Clean Monday (Kathara Deftera).
Clean Monday marks the beginning of Lent in the Greek Orthodox tradition, a day dedicated to cleansing, reflection, and the start of a period of fasting before Easter. It is traditionally celebrated with outdoor gatherings, kite flying, and special meals based on vegetables, legumes, and seafood.
During their stay, our Italian guests joined in the festivities, experiencing local traditions firsthand while also engaging in educational workshops and collaborative projects with Greek students. As part of the Job Shadowing program, eight teachers from Poland visited the Special Vocational School (EEEEK) of Katerini to carry out their professional development activities. The school warmly welcomed them, providing an excellent environment for collaboration and exchange of ideas.

As part of the European Erasmus program, a school from Austria visited our country in September 2025 for a student mobility project.
In addition to the educational aspect, the students and their accompanying teachers had the opportunity to take part in day trips, through which they discovered the history, culture, and traditions of Greece.
VET School from Poland ERASMUS+
As part of the European program, we had the pleasure of hosting students from Poland for one month. Their specializations included Environmental Protection Technicians, Welding Technicians, Telecommunications Technicians, Automotive Engineering Technicians, and Automation Technicians.
During this month, the students learned a lot, exchanged valuable experiences, and grew closer together.
As an organization, we believe that such programs are not only about learning technical skills or participating in visits, but also about developing as individuals and giving back to the community. Therefore, as part of a project we organized together with the students, they went out into the community to raise awareness, sharing balloons and small notes with messages of optimism related to September; s and October's awareness themes, such as cancer awareness and other important causes.
